Meeting with MPs at NSW Parliament
On 21 November, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine conducted an important meeting with New South Wales (NSW) Members of Parliament representing different parties at NSW Parliament in Sydney. The Ambassador briefed the MPs on the catastrophic situation in Gaza, and emphasised the urgent Palestinian demand for an immediate permanent ceasefire. The Ambassador also raised the issues faced by Palestinian-Australians with regards to the visa application process for their relatives and loved ones attempting to leave Gaza. Additionally, the group discussed the importance of protecting and promoting community cohesion and harmony within NSW and Australia broadly, and the Ambassador emphasised the necessity of deepening engagement with the Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities in this context.
