The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates asserted that the Massacre at Al-Tabin School is a result of the failure of the international community and its institutions, including the Security Council, to fulfill their responsibilities in stopping the genocide against the Palestinian people. This also reflects their ongoing failure to provide international protection for our people. The ministry emphasized that the illegal Israeli occupation is inhumane and must be held accountable and punished for its crimes, along with any states or entities complicit in these atrocities.

The Ministry pointed out that granting Israel impunity, and not holding it accountable, encourages it to persist in committing massacres in the occupied Palestinian territory, the latest of which is the horrific massacre at Al-Tabin School in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza Strip, which was sheltering forcibly displaced families, resulting in over 100 martyrs and hundreds of injuries.

The Ministry calls on the international community and its institutions to take immediate action to stop the aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip, as this is the only way to protect civilians. It also urges the activation of accountability mechanisms, including the issuance of arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court against Israeli war criminals to deter and prevent further crimes. Additionally, it calls for the immediate convening of the UN Security Council to implement its resolutions and compel Israel, the illegal occupying power, to comply with international law and UN resolutions.

The Ministry directed all its ambassadors abroad to expose these crimes and to call on all States to take all necessary steps to punish this criminal regime and to condemn these crimes and other ongoing crimes in the occupied State of Palestine, including Jerusalem.
