Solidarity with Palestine

On May 23, the Ambassador and Embassy staff participated in a Rally outside Parliament House, Canberra, in solidarity with the Palestinian people, in particular those victimised by Israeli violations in Jerusalem and Gaza. For the occasion, there was a Quran Recitation, a welcome to Country by Uncle Shane Mortimer, followed by speeches from a variety of speakers including Imams, academics, members of the Palestinian community, civil society solidarity groups, and Palestinian Ambassador Abdulhadi.
Across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand rallies, protests, and advocacy campaigns like this one have been organised in support of the Palestinian people.
